Software Engineer

SUMMARY:

  • The qualified applicant will provide hands-on development throughout the entire SDLC, supporting the sustainment of enterprise Web-enabled GOTS applications, using various technologies to support customer mission and goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop software code based upon customer/internal requirements, project constraints, and optimal use of technology and available resources with minimal supervision.
  • Estimate development duration based on logical task break down.
  • Follow best SDLC practices, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain consistency in the application through the reuse of existing code by using the existing program development software toolset.
  • Provide Level 2-3 user support (development, operation) for web application users.
  • Develop, review and update required documentation.
  • Must be willing to take direction and implement solutions identified by senior developers.
  • Candidate must be willing to work closely with our customers (government and government contractors), to identify development solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • BS in Computer Science and 2 years’ experience
  • TSQL/Stored Procedures (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • ASP classic /VBscript
  • Javascript, jQuery
  • CSS, HTML, AJAX
  • HTML
  • ASP.Net
  • Position requires an Active Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8570 - IAT II - (Any one of the following Certifications: CCNA-Security, SEC+, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CASP, CISA, GCED, GSEC, GSE, GCIH)

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS:

 Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Knowledge of the Space lift Range Architecture and Support Applications
  • IIS Administration
  • VisualRV - Business Process Management Engine (GOTS) experience
  • Web Services/XML/JSON experience
  • Familiar with Virtualization concepts and security
  • Experience with SSL and Encryption
