The candidate(s) will provide Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Administrative and Maintenance Management staff support services to the US Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. Fourth Fleet Staff located at Naval Station Mayport, FL.
The incumbent to this position primarily serves as a USNAVSO/FOURTHFLT Information Manager and Portal Engineer. Specifically, the candidate shall:
Provide IM and Portal support to the command from the designated IM office during normal work hours of 0730-1630.
Develop and manage the internal and external information sharing process/strategy in support of NAVSO/C4F Commander and staff.
Develop information management initiatives and content integration strategies and provide recommendations on ways to improve information sharing in support of operations and efficiency.
Perform daily administration of all portals/Websites including internal, external, collaboration at sea, and collaboration/information sharing tools.
Provide training to the staff on all information and content management tools and solutions to facilitate adoption and best practice acceptance.
Develop and manage technical solutions that ensure relevant information is accessible to all personnel. Ensure the information sharing strategy is aligned with command guidelines.
Develop and manage the command's Information Portals and provide training in the use of current portal technologies and platforms.
Work closely with internal and external Information and Knowledge Management personnel to ensure successful information management and sharing.
Designs, develop and maintain SharePoint Templates, workflows and Web parts.
Performs tasks related to delegating SharePoint content administrator roles to appropriate users.
Document and reports on system usage and activities on a monthly basis.
Provides SharePoint account maintenance and support and trains new users.
Oversee the site request process: review submittals, ensure site creation.
Resolves issues relating to the content creation and publishing of web properties in SharePoint.
Monitors SharePoint logs, activities, events and assets.
Performs end user administration as necessary, including managing SharePoint user accounts and troubleshooting user access problems.
Additional related network engineer/system administration duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS:
Candidate(s) must have the following minimum experience and certifications:
Minimum 4 years’ experience as Information Manager and Portal Engineer
Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and information/content management experience and associated certifications.
Eligible for Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to work with Senior Executive Staff.
Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Will be required to undergo and pass applicable background checks.
Must be a United States Citizen to support this government contract, possess and maintain a current SECRET level security clearance.
In accordance with DoD 8570.01 and DoDD 8140.01 “Cyberspace Workforce Management” ; Candidate must meet the Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II requirements by having one of the following certifications: GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Sec, Cissp, Cisa, CASP, GCIH, GSEC, or GCED)
