SUMMARY:

  • The primary task purpose is to provide support for the analysis, engineering, configuration and sustainment of Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) NSW C4I Business Systems, including the NSW Training & Resources Management System (NTRMS), NSW Resources, Requirements & Assessments System (NRRAS), NSW Center Learning Management System (NSWCEN LMS), and the NSW Warrior & Family Support Website. The task will also provide IT Asset Management Program Support.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Asset Management Specialist shall provide technical and functional support for users as directed by the Government.  The candidate must have technical skills using various software applications, and the ability to query spreadsheets, databases and generate reports and must have the ability to utilize software applications i.e. email, spreadsheets, MS Word Documents, etc.

  • Under general supervision, manages the maintenance, reconciliation, and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. 

 The Candidate shall perform the following tasks:

  • Take tasking and priority from the respective Command.
  • Interact with SWALIS, DPAS and Remedy teams to resolve data, reporting, and interface issues.
  • Resolve customer requests for item transactions and reports.
  • Support the NSW Asset Management Team by verifying the accuracy of C4I data in DPAS, SWALIS and Remedy.
  • Respond to regular tasking from the Government leads.
  • Support asset management activities for NSW, NSW Groups, and their respective subordinate Commands.
  • Perform inventory validations and generate reports in support of inventories, generate barcodes, and provide basic customer support, assisting Commands with DPAS and Remedy inputs.
  • Evaluate each assignment to make sure the intent and objectives are clear.
  • Track and locate assigned items and verify the accuracy of current SWALIS, DPAS and
  • Remedy data and report back to the Government’s lead.
  • Document and highlight deviations and update DPAS and Remedy data to reflect its findings.
  • Capture all validation activities in SWALIS, DPAS and Remedy so the need to repeat work is minimized.
  • Configure the appropriate database query and format the output.
  • After generating the report, the Asset Management Specialist shall review the output and make sure it meets the original intent.
  • The Asset Management Specialist shall deliver the report in either hard or soft copy, as required.
  • Assist government personnel in support of new user account check-in and check-out.
  • Attend meetings, monitor and address issues as required, providing inputs and actions.
  • Assist government personnel in conducting inventory surveys as required.
  • Generate reports in support of completed inventories.

Experience and Credentials

  • 5+ years’ experience with at least two (2)years working with the Department of Defense Logistics and Asset Management System (e.g., DPAS, GCSS‐MC)
  • High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Data Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a major field of study which either provides substantial knowledge useful in managing large, complex business systems projects preferred
  • Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong writing, editing, and oral communications skills.
  • Will be required to undergo and pass applicable background checks.
  • Must be a United States Citizen to support this government contract, possess and maintain a current SECRET level security clearance.
