Position Summary
MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Parts/Materials Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, material distribution, and logistics for the Brooklyn VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades Project.
This position is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, issuing, and maintaining accountability for construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies supporting electrical, telecommunications, fiber-optic, security, and technology infrastructure work within an active Department of Veterans Affairs medical facility.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, experienced in construction logistics, and capable of supporting multiple crews while maintaining accurate inventory records in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse and material-control operations.
- Receive, inspect, document, and verify incoming materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory using inventory management software, spreadsheets, or barcode systems.
- Organize warehouse, laydown yards, storage containers, and staging areas.
- Pull, stage, issue, and deliver materials to field crews based on project schedules.
- Track material usage, returns, transfers, warranties, and vendor credits.
- Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, testing instruments, and rental equipment.
- Coordinate deliveries with vendors, subcontractors, and project personnel.
- Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Supervise warehouse personnel, material handlers, and equipment operators.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Prepare inventory reports, receiving logs, and material documentation.
- Support project scheduling by ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification (Required)
- Current Forklift Operator Certification
- Current Manlift or Aerial Lift Certification
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations, construction logistics, inventory control, or material management
- Experience receiving, tracking, issuing, and reconciling construction materials
- Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and material lists
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, manlifts, and other material-handling equipment
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to pass federal background screening for work at a VA medical facility
Preferred Qualifications
- 5–10 years of warehouse, logistics, or material management experience
- Construction warehouse or jobsite logistics experience
- Experience supporting electrical, telecommunications, fiber-optic, security, or technology infrastructure projects
- Experience using inventory management or warehouse management software
- Previous Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or federal construction project experience
- Familiarity with construction drawings, bills of material, and project schedules
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Commercial driving or box truck experience is a plus

- Active construction site and warehouse environment within an occupied VA medical facility
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (heavier materials with mechanical assistance)
- Ability to operate forklifts, manlifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment
- Day, night, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on project needs
