Overview: MILVETS is currently seeking a skilled Network and Computer Systems Administrator (SharePoint) with a Top-Secret Clearance to support, manage, and optimize SharePoint Server (2016/2019) environments within a secure enterprise setting. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and migration of SharePoint On-Premises and Online environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with IT infrastructure, development, and business teams to ensure SharePoint systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and maintain SharePoint Server environments, including web applications, site collections, content databases, and service applications.
Administer user permissions, Active Directory group integration, and SharePoint security policies to ensure proper access control and compliance.
Implement governance policies, backup/recovery procedures, and disaster recovery strategies for continuity and data integrity.
Perform regular system health checks, apply patches, cumulative updates, and service packs to maintain platform stability and security.
Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and resolve availability issues or bottlenecks.
Collaborate with Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server teams to support backend configurations and integrations.
Provide Tier 2/3 support to end users, site owners, and business stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint errors, performance degradation, and service interruptions.
Deploy and manage custom or third-party SharePoint solutions, features, and web parts.
Support migrations and version upgrades, including transitions to SharePoint Online or hybrid environments.
Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Technical Expertise:
Deep experience with SharePoint Server 2016/2019 administration, including:
Central Administration, Search Service, User Profile Service, Managed Metadata, and other service applications.
SharePoint security model, user/group management, and Active Directory integration.
Familiarity with migration tools such as:
SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT)
ShareGate
Metalogix
Understanding of Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server administration as they pertain to SharePoint.
Experience implementing backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and governance policies.
Proficiency in performance monitoring, log analysis, and system optimization practices.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
AND at least seven (7) years of relevant experience
ORA Level II DoD 8570.01M-compliant certification (e.g., Security+ or higher)
AND at least seven (7) years of relevant experience
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of SharePoint Server administration experience.
At least 3 years of specialized experience managing, configuring, and supporting SharePoint On-Premises environments.
Proven experience in Tier 2/3 SharePoint troubleshooting, deployments, and user support.
Preferred Attributes:
Relevant Certifications (Highly Desirable):
Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator
CompTIA Security+ (or higher cybersecurity certification)
Experience supporting hybrid SharePoint deployments (On-Prem and Online).
Strong documentation, process development, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional technical teams, including Windows, network, and security personnel.
