MUST RESIDE 1 HOUR FROM SITE: Dahlgren Navy Support Facility.

Position Summary: MILVETS is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager.
Excellent written, and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in IT management tools and systems.
Proven experience managing diverse IT teams and complex schedules.
Working knowledge of COMSEC procedures and standards.
Previous “hands-on expertise” in network administration, systems administration, cybersecurity, or a related field.
Ability to travel 10%
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of employees, including Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Logistician.
- Develop and maintain a rotating schedule to ensure 24/7 operational support, balancing coverage needs with team well-being.
- Oversee and direct performance related to network and systems administration to ensure optimal performance and prioritization of maintenance activities.
- Ensure best practices are implemented to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and provide guidance and feedback to team members.
- Manage and prioritize projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on team performance, project progress, and system status.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant security standards.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Project Management.
Qualifications: Project Management Training or Certification (e.g. PMP or similar training/certification).
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to Computer or Information Science.
